What does speech therapy for kids actually mean?
Speech therapists, also known as speech language pathologists, can work with children on a wide variety of issues related to speech, reading, spelling and even social skills. Just like with occupational therapy, certain diagnoses can cause challenges for children in these areas.

What will my child learn in feeding therapy?
The goal of feeding therapy is to help children develop normal, effective feeding patterns and behaviors. Feeding therapy is more than just “teaching a child to eat.” We work closely with children and their families to determine the source of the child’s difficulties and develop very specific therapies to make the entire process of eating easier and more enjoyable.
Areas we focus on are difficulty chewing or swallowing food, refusing or gagging on foods with certain textures, temperatures or flavors, and trouble controlling and coordinating moving food around in mouth.
Areas we focus on:
-
Picky eating
-
Sensory feeding challenges
