We take a sensory based approach to treating children with developmental delays
Our experienced therapists have more than four decades of experience in working with children who have a wide variety of developmental delays and diagnoses including ADD/ADHD, apraxia, autism, fine motor skills, sensory processing, sensory integration, speech delays and visual motor integration.
It’s Sue’s passion, knowledge and dedication to helping each child that comes through our doors that sets the standard for each of the therapists that work for us. She brings more than 20 years of experience in occupational therapy, ranging from adults to children.
The concept for Cowtown Pediatrix began in 2013 in Sue's home and Cowtown opened in it's current location in 2015.
With a specialization in Sensory Integration, Sue has extensive clinical knowledge that expands well beyond the typical occupational therapist.
Sue is a recent empty nester with three teenagers who have graduated from Country Day, now all in college.
She answers the phone when you call ... she greets you at the door ... She's the glue that keeps Cowtown together. She has been with Cowtown since the beginning and calls her job the "perfect job" and says she's exactly where she was meant to be. She has four kiddos of her own, two are married, and she's holding onto her youngest as long as she can. Fun fact? She has a "weird" obsession with tattoos but doesn't have any and she loves to roller skate.
Originally from San Antonio, she graduated from Texas State with a Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. After pursuing several other jobs, she discovered her love for pediatric OT. She graduated from Weatherford College in 2016 and has been practicing pediatric OT ever since. She's married to her husband Cody and loves visiting family in San Antonio and crafting during her free time (a perfect skill for a pediatric OT!)
Patient Care Coordinator
Patrice graduated from Texas Wormen's University with a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Development. She joined Cowtown Peditrix Clinic in 2017 and has worn many hats and is now our Patient Care Coordinator. She seeks to build strong relationships within our community. When not at Cowtown, Patrice spends time with her husband enjoying trips together visiting their family in New England, cooking and watching the New England Patriots.
Rich Kilar joined Cowtown Pediatrix Clinic in 2020. Yes, he has to put up (or gets the pleasure of!) with working with all women, including his better half, Patrice, our Patient Cae Coordinator.
He is responsible for the financial/billing operations at the clinic. He and Patrice have been married for 29 years. He enjoys watching professional sports and making homemade pasta!!
Kristin came to Cowtown in 2016 and has more than 15 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy, sensory integration, pediatric feeding and functional vision screenings. Her goal is to help her patients live their best possible life. She loves hearing from parents who tell her that the work she's doing in therapy is making life easier at home. Any moms of three year olds out there? Kristin can relate to your struggles! Enjoy doing puzzles and watching old episodes of The Office and Friends? Kristin is your girl!
